Simple Addition

I made this vase and soap dish several months ago.  The best part about the soap dish is that my work is on the under side so should not be ruined by holding a bar of soap!  The plaid was a fun idea and the fact that the lines are crooked and not perfectly even give this vase some character!  It was one of the first group.  I knew it needed something more, but couldn't put my finger on it.  After MONTHS of serious deliberation, I decided on simple black ribbon.  What a difference this simple addition makes!  Some 1/2 inch black ribbon around the top of the vase and the side of the soap dish make this pair ready to be displayed in the bathroom!

The beginning.....

So, here we go.  New at this whole blog thing, so we'll see where it takes me!  I started Andrea B. Lewis Creations because I wanted to share what I was making with people.  God works in mysterious ways and He guides my hand as I make each of my creations.  "It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure." ~Philippians 2:13 This is a verse that I have chosen to go with what I make.  It reminds me that without God, I would not be able to create or enjoy the beautiful things in life.  Here are a few of the several creations I have made...each post I will highlight a few of the past creations or newly created!

The first picture is a "Fall Pot" that was one of the first creations.  It was decorated with brown, red, yellow, and orange.  I filled it with cinnamon scented pine cones for a warm fall feel.

The second two are a small candle holder.  I used tissue paper with small multicolored dots, fine green wire, and three small red flowers.  I used it as a candle holder, but it could easily be filled with rice or coffee beans and used as a pen holder.

Hope you enjoyed this preview of what's to come!  I am excited to show you more!
